Rules on cancelling your inscription to a Public / Open match:

  • You can cancel your spot in a public/open match until 24 hours before the match.
  • Outside of the cancellation policy (less than 24 hours from the start of the match) you will not be able to cancel your spot.
  • If you need to replace a player in a public/open match, but you are unable to, because there is less than 24 hours from the start of the match, you will need to contact the club directly.
Reasons why a match can be cancelled:

Public/Open Matches can be cancelled because the time of the match is approaching and it has not been completed with four players or because the court is no longer available in the Club:

  • When the match has 2 players and there is more than 12 hours left until the start of the match
  • When the match has 3 players and there is more than 4 hours left before the reserved time
  • Whenever there are 4 players: the court is always reserved

The match system has an algorithm to know, depending on the time, the club and the players targeted, if the court is going to be completed and booked.

If for any of these reasons described above, the game is cancelled, the money is automatically refunded in the same form of payment that was made:

  • The banking process in the case of card payment may take between 2 and 10 days
  • If you paid with a Club Wallet, the reimbursement is instant and you will see the refund at the same time as the match is cancelled.
  • Keep in mind that once a match has been cancelled, we cannot restore it, you will need to open or join a new match.
A player did not show up in a public match:

If a player does not show up for the match it should be the responsibility of the Club to notify us so that we can then charge that player and reimburse the players who were unable to play.

All bookings are made via the Playtomic App ( free version):

  • Search for EzeePadel Weybridge
  • Select Date and Time
  • Book your court!

All Cancellations must be done via the Playtomic App:

  • Search for EzeePadel Weybridge
  • Select Date and Time
  • Cancel your booking
  • If you have done this before the 4 hour cancellation period, you will receive a full refund.
  • If you have cancelled after or within the 4 hour cancellation period, you will not be liable for a refund.
  • Open bookings have a 24 hour cancelation policy to receive a refund.
Note that this is a Playtomic ruling.
If you do not cancel your booking with a minimum of 4hrs notice, you will be automatically charged by Playtomic. Please note this is a deadline automatically applied by Playtomic, and EzeePadel is not able to amend a booking after that time.

In the case of bad weather, our cancellation policy remains the same.
If you make an open booking and invite guest to join you and do not fill these spaces, someone else can take your court booking.
We recommend that you fill those spaces as soon as possible to prevent this happening.
Yes, as long as you cancel before the cancellation period which is 4 hours (private) or 24 hours ( open booking) you will receive a refund via Playtomic. It  is up to you to make a call about weather in good time so that you are not charged if you are outside of the cancellation period. We may issue a partial refund to your wallet (at our discretion) in the case of incumbent weather.
** Note : There are  different deadlines for classes / academy which vary from court bookings.

Memberships are currently paused. New options will be available shortly.

Once the payments from your teammates are recorded, whether done online or marked as paid by the club, that amount will be released, retaining only your share, 2 hours after the match ends.

Padel is a fun and dynamic racquet sport played on a walled court. It shares similarities with tennis and squash, but with some key differences:

  • Underhand serve: The serve must bounce once before hitting it and be delivered underarm.
  • Playing the walls:  The ball can be played off the walls, adding a strategic element to the game.

  • Scoring: Points are scored when the ball bounces twice on the opponent's side, goes out of bounds, or is hit into the net.
For many, padel is considered easier to pick up than tennis. The smaller court size and slower ball speed make it more beginner-friendly. However, mastering padel, like any sport, requires dedication and practice.

Padel courts primarily cater to doubles play. The strategic use of walls and the fast-paced nature of the game are best experienced with two players working in tandem to control the court. However, a limited number of courts specifically designed for singles do exist.

EzeePadel only offers doubles play.

A padel match can take anywhere from 60 to 90 minutes, depending on the skill level of the players and the competitiveness of the match.

The sand filling on a padel court serves several purposes:

  • Drainage: It absorbs water and prevents the court from becoming slippery.

  • Slower ball: The sand helps slow down the ball, making it easier to control.
Court shoes with non-marking soles are ideal for padel. They provide good grip for quick movements and protect the court surface.

Padel is taking the world by storm! With over 25 million players in 90+ countries, it's one of the fastest-growing sports. Here's why:

  • Pick Up & Play: Padel's easy-to-learn rules make it accessible for all ages and skill levels.

  • Doubles Fun: The social aspect is a big draw. Teamwork, communication, and friendly competition make padel a blast.

  • All-Around Fitness: It's a fantastic way to stay active, healthy, and happy – all while having a great time!
Getting started with padel is easy! Here's what you'll need:

  • The Essentials: Padel racket and balls. Most courts offer rentals, so you don't necessarily need to buy your own equipment right away.

  • Dress for Comfort:  Comfortable, breathable clothing that allows for movement is key.

  • Footwear Matters:  Court shoes with good grip will help you move confidently and avoid damaging the court surface.

  • Positive Attitude:  No prior experience is necessary! Just bring a willingness to have fun and learn the ropes.
Padel is governed by the International Padel Federation (FIP), which has established a comprehensive set of rules for the sport. Take a look here for all the details: https://www.padelfip.com/documentation/
Padel is a fast-growing racquet sport that blends elements of tennis, squash, and racquetball. It's perfect for tennis players looking to expand their game.  Your existing tennis skills in footwork, shot placement, and racket handling will give you a head start on the padel court. Plus, padel adds a fun twist with walled enclosures for creative shotmaking. It's a seamless transition that lets you experience a new sport while leveraging your existing talents.
In 1993, the Sports Council of Spain recognised paddle as a sport, and changed its spelling to padel for pronunciation purposes in the Spanish language. In 2005 the first professional world tour, Padel Pro Tour, was created.

Padel is a fantastic way to burn calories and get fit.  Similar to tennis, it's a fast-paced sport that keeps you moving constantly, with quick bursts of speed and changes in direction. All that action can burn up to 800 calories per hour, making it a great workout option!
Rackets: Padel rackets are made of a composite material without strings. The hitting surface is perforated. The racket is similar to the one used in platform tennis but has its own specifications.
Aerodynamics and Weight Distribution.

Fundamentally, the holes in a padel tennis racket serve two primary purposes; optimising aerodynamics and refining weight distribution. These strategically placed holes reduce air resistance, allowing for swifter swings and hence, more powerful and controlled shots.

Unlike tennis rackets, which can last for years, paddle tennis rackets have a more limited useful life in optimal conditions. The duration of a padel racket in optimal conditions (that is, maintaining the same performance at ball output level, control and power) is approximately one year.

The golden point will be played whenever 40/40 (deuce) is reached. Previously, when the score reached 40-all, one of the two pairs was required to win two consecutive points to win the game. This fight to win two points in a row could go on ad infinitum, there was no limit to the number of attempts or time. With Golden Point the team receiving the serve can choose which player receives the serve.

Once you have completed the initial levelling questions, your level cannot be changed through the app. The only way to increase your level is participating in a levelling session in leveling clubs or playing matches and entering your score.

As well as the written rules of padel, we encourage good padel etiquette which will help every one enjoy the game. Sportsmanship, consideration and politeness are the essence of the sport and we respectively ask all players to be considerate of their partner and their opponents.

ATTIRE

  • Appropriate attire on the court; sportswear and trainers/padel shoes
  • Gents: No vest tops. Shirts should always be worn.

 NOISE

  • Padel is a social game frequently played as mixed couples. Please be respectful of your partner and opponents; no aggressive play or intimidation.
  • Please be respectful of the neighborhood and mindful of other matches on other courts. Please keep noise to a minimum.
  • Foul, or inappropriate language or behavior, will not be tolerated.

 PUNCTUALITY

  • Please respect your partner and fellow players and be punctual for the start of your match and advise them in advance if you believe you will be late.
  • No-shows may incur a penalty fine, including suspension of membership for frequent violators.

 GENERAL

  • No food or drink on court, except for water.
  • Do not walk behind a court during an active point.
  • Do not disturb people on court during play.
  • Before starting play, ensure all equipment not in use is clear of the court.
  • Do not criticize your partner or opponent. Be positive and offer encouragement.
  • Line calls can be hard to see, so only call the lines on your side of the court ensuring your opponent can hear. Always respect the line calls of your opponent as they are nearer than you. If you have disagreement, offer a ‘Let’ which means you replay the point.

Padel’s primary purpose is enjoyment. It’s nice to win but no one wins every time, so always remain positive, happy and offer encouragement no matter what the result. You are far more likely to enjoy yourself and play better padel if you follow proper padel etiquette, are calm, relaxed, focused, and in a positive frame of mind.
